11 People Killed Colombia Lightning

11 members of indigenous tribes along the Caribbean coast of Colombia was killed instantly when lightning struck the hut where they gather on Monday (10/06/2014). The authorities explained that in addition to the 11 deaths there were 15 members of other tribes who suffered burns. Six of them were seriously injured.
The lightning struck when they were carrying out traditional ceremonies Mamos, around midnight. That's when they get together, thunderstorms occur up grabbing one of the huts.
Related events, the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos expressed condolences. He ordered the authorities to immediately evacuate the victims who are still wounded by helicopter.
This was done because of the difficulty of access road to the site. Mentioned that to arrive at that place, they had to walk down a small hill and the road for six hours.
